MEET OUR LEAD
Ahmed Gutalle serves as the Deputy Executive Director of Focus Institute for Development (FID). He is a dedicated professional with a strong academic background in environmental and agricultural sciences.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and is currently pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) in Climate Adaptation and Sustainable Development at City University.
At FID, his work focuses on the intersection of environmental policy, climate resilience, sustainable development, and national stability. His academic and professional interests support the Institute’s efforts to promote evidence-based solutions to environmental and development challenges in Somalia.
Ahmed Guutaale
Deputy Executive Director
Zakariye is a highly qualified leader with a multidisciplinary academic background in international relations, diplomacy, Sharia, and law. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy and a Bachelor of Arts in Sharia and Law.
He also holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Lincoln University and a Master’s Degree in Law from Somali National University.
This diverse academic and professional background equips him with strong diplomatic, legal, and policy perspectives, enabling him to lead Focus Institute for Development (FID) with a multidisciplinary approach to research, policy development, institutional strengthening, and sustainable national development.
